I had put this on the States thread but it's kinda buried so I thought I'd give it it's own thread....this Saturday at 10:00 we'll be throwing a one-round fundraiser mini at Tom Bass! Entry fee is $20 with all proceeds going to benefit this year's Texas States Disc Championship coming up on St. Patrick's Day....we ask that you bring some new or gently used plastic for payout please. We'll be setting up the baskets to play the Tourney Course, so this will give you a good oppurtunity to practice that course in a friendly competitive atmosphere. We tried to do this a couple of weekends ago after "work morning" & just a handful of people showed up, so we're going to try it one more time (last chance too!). Please come out & help to support this very unique event for States this year...if any of you want to come out & help set up baskets we'll be meeting at the storage unit next to the park offices at 8:00....hope to see you there, rain or shine!

Don't forget....tomorrow morning at 8:00 if you'd like to meet us at the HFDS storage unit at Bass to help us put out baskets for the 10:00 mini on the Tourney course, we would appreciate the help! If not, I'm hoping to see a good turnout so we can raise some much needed sponsorship money for next weekend's Texas State Disc Championships! Yeah, the weather might be a little funky...but it'll be funky no matter where you play in H-Town so you might as well come & get a practice round in on the "we only do this for States" Tourney course! I will definitely be bringing the sexy boots! :D

Well...the weather people say 60% percent chance of thunderstorms all day tomorrow, which means lightning & heavy rain like what we had this afternoon...which pretty much seems to cancel my plans for this mini tomorrow! I feel really bad about this...it's the first year since we started that we haven't been able to do this. :( I hope those of you who even thought about coming out (and I haven't heard any feedback) will see this here or on Facebook & let anybody that you may know who was coming to blow it off. If you'd still like to make a donation to States, get in touch with your nearest HFDS officer (Richard Fason, Ed Morgan, Conrad Joe, Patrick Brogdon, ERic Jubin & of course the TD for States Dave Nesbitt) and I'm sure they would be happy to take your contribution. We'll try to do this earlier next year!
