Yes...just hard enough to not be easy, but easy enough to not be hard! I know that seems like a contradiction, but if you think about it it's true!

Okay...
Comments 3 Disc Challenge. Driver, Midrange, and Putter only. Same 3 both rounds.
But Chuck... who decides if it's a "Driver" or a "Midrange"?

Are we required to tuck the two non-throwing discs in our pants at the small of our back when throwing?
What about a mini?

nah, you gotta balance 'em on your head while you throw. You get a stroke per disc if they drop.

Ladies & gentlemen...choose your weapons! Hey...I forgot to read the flyer!!! Sounds like fun though...and not nearly as heavy to carry around as what I'm used to!

I got my Driver and putter picked out, but I have a few midranges I have to go test and see which one will work the best.

I usually carry my mini in my back pocket during a tournament.

How about we just use another disc as our mini? :D

I will decide if it is a midrange or a driver. We can check the discs at the players meeting. If I catch anybody cheating, they will have to serve a 30 minute after tournament detention at the putting stones, practicing their putts for 30 minutes straight.:p

We played a tournament like this for ERic's birthday party...at night even! It was fun....and made it a bit of a challenge for some of us. Just to be clear....it doesn't mean you have to drive with your driver...throw upshots only with your midrange...and putt only with your putter. You can use any of them for whatever you wish...but you can only use those three discs! I think we should talk about it more at the players meeting to be clear...and should talk about having extras on hand in case someone gets a disc stuck in a tree.

Speaking of trees - will the 2 meter rule be in effect? Not that it should be a big deal on most holes... :)

No two-meter rule Saturday.....

Looking at the weather, we wouldn't need the 2 meter rule anyway - since we'll be able to just swim to our disc! :)

Maybe one of those discs needs to be a floater!

Billy,
Frequently some of the local schools run their cross-country meets out there. Unfortunately, they usually encroach on the disc golf course too. Maybe they won't be running a meet out there tomorrow, but you have to be careful at Jester on Saturday mornings when school is in session.
We've got some issues with those folks because they leave a mess behind them when they are done. They setup little refreshment stands and of course the runners grab cups gulp stuff down and toss their cup wherever...Dennis Woodward has talked to them a couple of times so maybe they'll get better about picking up after themselves.
When they setup their course though, it usually weaves in and out a lot of the fairways.

Speaking of garbage, I was at the course yesterday, and there have been some new trash cans installed. One by the #1 tee and one by the #4 tee.

Hopefully we'll get lucky tomorrow & they won't be out there...if they are, we'll just take it slow & try to be careful.

Boy it was wet and cold out there this morning, but I had a good time. Thanks to all who came out and braved the rain.

Seven stout-hearted fellows and one brave woman...the three disc challenge was even more so with the rain! But we still had fun....just a little cold & wrinkly fingered! Thanks for coming out to the bayou!
