I moved here about a month ago, and was wondering what courses are need to play courses here? Any course with wild holes, or decent scenery?

eventually you should play them all. But yes like David said, what part of town do you live in? Someone will jump in and tell you the best courses in that area, then we'll all (one by one) go on to tell you to try this place...or try there..until you've been advised to play them all....LOL

welcome... Do you enjoy playing in organized tournaments and leagues? There is a lot of organized play as well. Great way to meet other Disc golfers in the area...

I guess NW Houston is the area.
I usually play for fun. I have played in a few tournaments about 7 years ago, when I was 16-18 but college screwed up anything else I had going.

On the North to NW side you have a few really good courses to choose from.

Spring Valley and Windwood being the top 2 IMO in that area that are must play.

Windwood is a free course, although now that school has started you must check in at the front desk if you want to play Mon-Fri before 5pm. We have a friendly mini tourney every Saturday morning, sign ups start at 8:30am and the round starts at 9am. Entry fee is 10.00. Check the Windwood thread near the bottom of the forum page.

Spring Valley is a pay to play course and also has a friendly mini tourney every Sunday morning, sign-ups start around 9:30am and the round starts at 10am. Spring Valley also has a very nice pro shop if you're looking to buy discs and stuff.

All the courses have a thread on this message board where you can access a map to see their location.
