I have walked down the path and back under Telge on the other side of the road is pristine! The terrain is very similar to the new course at Brooks and would need some clearing of course. There are lots of canopies in there I would love to take my portable art easel and capture the essence.

I do know the area in the front of the park with the rows of pines would be excellent. There is room for a few holes in that area, not sure there are many walkers out there. Basically the course would have to be carved out of the vast land not being utilized.

The park doesn't have what it would take to make a difficult course, but it does look like a great location for a new course. The city needs more courses inside the Beltway.
I drove by this one again today, and checked online. It is just over 50 acres.........and it isn't in use for anything else, period.

Anybody on the west side familiar with Arthur Storey Park? I kind of doubt they would put in a DG course there, but I don't let that slow me down! I've been there a few times now, and I think I've got some good holes scoped out, including what I call the 'signature' holes, lol. I didn't see them before, but on the west side of the picnic area, there are two very good dogleg holes that wrap around a grove of trees. Both feature tree lined drives and then pretty tightly guarded goals. You can play them clockwise or counter clockwise, depending on what type of shot you're working on. I'd love to play tour guide for anybody who's interested in checking it out!

If you're not quite familiar with the location, the park is just outside beltway 8 at Bellaire Blvd., behind the Home Depot.

I know the park and have played some casual object golf out there but it would be an uphill battle to get a course in there. That park has one of the busiest jogging trail in the city. Parking is also a pain.

The big yin-yang is cool though.

Does anyone have a connection with El Franco Lee's Precinct 1 parks folks? Only one of their parks offer a disc golf course and I thought that odd. Is there a reason for that?

I've got a plan... Just researching things at this point.

ChrisMac, I've never had a problem with the joggers as the track is on the perimeter of the park, but the picnickers are another problem, lol. But even that's mostly on Saturday and Sunday afternoons. Have you developed some good holes out there? What part of the park do you mostly play on?
