For those of you that played both times. Did you like the rain or heat better? I'll take either one because I love that course. I've walked it enough times now that I can envision every hole. CHris said Boo is going to help tweak the design. The most famous Birdshot tournament? Its on the short list. CHris took an idea and made it happen. Thanks CHris.

Actually, I said I'd like to use a different section of the golf course and ask Boo if he would help design the next one. I haven't asked him yes though as I like to do that sort of thing in person and not on a message board.

Thanks for letting the cat out of the bag though.

SPCA made me let the cat out. I like keeping cats in bags.

DOh I wish I'd read this thread earlier. This course is at the end of my block, and I could walk to the 1st teebox in about 30 seconds!

Someone said something about making the course permanent. This is unlikely to happen as the land isn't owned by the city but by a golf course management corp. They closed the course down claiming they were losing to much money and have basically let the land go to waste. Last I heard the Clear Lake Water Authority was trying to take it by imminent domain but it was in a lawsuit.

I'd love to go walk the course with you sometime Chris, even other sections. I've played it MANY times as a ball golf course and may be able to offer some insights.

I did a lot of research on the ownership situation with the old golf course and I'm optimistic that a course can be there permanently. The Clear Lake Water Authority's imminent domain claim should eventually come out in their favor. Their plan of dry-ponds would work well with a disc golf course and the community. Having Day-of-Course out there helps to get the residents thinking positive about disc golf too.

Sounds good. When Day-of-Course III comes around I'd like to use a difference section of the course.
