Gates closed on Saturdays

A few times some friends and I played Bear Branch, and then tried to play Stonebridge, and the gates were closed on Research Dr. Have they changed this, and started leaving them open, or do they keep the gates open on the course side? Just wondering. Thanks,

That's too bad you couldn't get in... the course is playing tough but fair. Needs some mowing in areas but still playable.

The gates were closed (I'm theorizing) because of packed Easter services that are going on throughout the weekend. They have outdoor overflow services that take over the front side of the church & parking lot so you must enter & depart from 1488. (They were also closed Friday night & we had to depart via the 1488 exit after our doubles round)

The gates on Research Forest are opened by church employees. If no one comes to work, you're out of luck. Special events may be a factor too like Alex said. The gates on 1488 I never used much but I believe requires a key card to operate if they aren't already open.

I played out there Friday no problem, but my friends have tried several times on Saturdays, and we tried about 2 months ago, and the gates were closed on Satuday at noon when we tried to play a few months ago

Sometimes the exit gate is open & entry gate closed. I've zipped in the exit gate for a few holes in the past. I can't say for sure the exact schedule but I do know Easter services definitely kept us from using the RF entry/exit on Fri. night.
Definitely a bummer y'all went all that way & were not able to play. Maybe it saved you a lost disc?
