Is your description of last years event a pun on the location of the event?

Heads up folks... here's the big announcement:
$425 added cash to Pro divisions. -Thank you Birdshot-DGProShop $1,500 added payout to Am divisions. -Thank you City of Sugar Land Players pack: free Discraft Disc and free Russo's pizza lunch. This could very well be the best C-Tier event in Texas this year! ![]() Congrats to those of you who got in. The 2013 Showdown is now FULL. Contact discgolfconsultant <at> gmail.com if you'd like to be put on the waitlist. Check-in on Saturday is 7:30am-8:15am. Even if you've registered you must still check in. There is a wait-list for this event if you are not checked in by 8:15am you may lose your spot. There have a couple minor changes to the previously posted Tournament Guide & Map. V1.3 is now posted: http://home.comcast.net/~ejubin/disc_golf/SugarLandShowdown2_TourneyGuideMap.pdf If anyone heads over to the park to check out the temp holes prior to Saturday's event... PLEASE be very conscious of your surroundings. These holes throw around, over, and through areas of the park that no one is expecting to see flying discs. We have City permission to use this area on Saturday for the main event. Prior to that there are likely to be people using other park amenities. Do NOT throw a disc if there are non-golfers in the area. FYI for those of you planning to wear cleats: 15 of the 19 holes will tee off from a natural surface, four holes will tee off from concrete. If you're an EasyScorecard Pro user you can download this course layout to the app. Search for "Imperial Park - 19 hole". If it's necessary to break any first place ties the playoff loop is holes: 2, 3, 9, 10, 14, 19, repeat; R1 tees. If you haven't been to Imperial Park before, the DGCR page has all sorts of useful information: http://www.dgcoursereview.com/course.php?id=2561 Street address: 7796 US 90 Alt, Sugar Land, TX, 77478 GPS coordinates: 29.616133, -95.640369 High level street map: Parking lot location: Last edited by ERicJ; 01-24-2013 at 08:32 AM. Reason: Add playoff loop info and check-in. |

There should be four of them for sale ($18) in addition to what's available in the player packs.
As a reminder there will be 40 Forces and 40 Hornets for players to choose from for their player pack discs. First come, first choice at check-in on Saturday morning. |

eta: That's assuming payout is 100% of entry plus ERic's announced added payout (100% of entry fees minus registration, PDGA and series fee). |
