Wow! I noticed a big jump in registrations these last couple of days...up to 53 as of a few minutes ago!

The weather forecast is looking a little "iffy" with a possibility of rain in the morning and chilly for the whole day, but low winds of 5 mph are predicted for the whole day so it should be okay playing conditions.

We had about 2/10ths of an inch of rain on Wednesday and as long as we don't get a heavy rain tonight and in the morning, I wouldn't expect to even see any standing water out there. The ground has been soaking up everything mother nature has been dropping on it.

Can't wait to see everyone out there in the morning! Dress warm!

It was great golfing again and even better seeing old friends. I want to thank Birdshot and curse the weather, and all in all, I'm glad I went. I hope to make a lot more tournaments this year because I've missed playing and I've missed the players.

I wanted to make one observation that I thought was worth mentioning because it definitely caught my eye. EVERYWHERE you go these day, you see people on their smart phones texting, facebooking, twittering, surfing porn (maybe that's just me) and doing everything but focusing on what's going on in front of them. Not once, during either round, and not just on my card, did I see anyone on their phone. That just goes to prove that disc golf is still the greatest disctraction of all.

A big thank you to everyone involved with putting on the tournament and I'll see you all again very soon.

Alright there, Negative Smokin' Nancy. You don't have to have WiFi to use your phone, and iPhone service has it's own WiFi. Just Sayin'. Of course, maybe nobody wanted to get their phones wet. haha!! Seriously, though, other than Dennis checking the game score a couple time while we were backed up and waiting on a hole, I didn't see anyone jacking with them either. And much fun was had by all. Joe, you wuss', where were you?

The morning of the tournament, I saw 60 players listed as pre-registered. When I checked in at 8:00am, I figured we'd lose 5-10 players due to the crummy weather, but to my amazement, there were another 12 players that signed up the morning-of in spite of the weather!!!

Wow! Sure is great to see so many hard-core DGers out there!!!

I enjoyed great card-mates for both rounds. We had lots of laughs throughout the round in spite of how hard it was raining and blowing! Many thanks to Birdshot, DG Consultants and all of my hard-core DGing friends!

It's gonna take a whille for my rating to recover from this one.

I think my rating actually improved a little bit. I was surprised that an even the second round got a 958 rating. And so, I'm guessing that an 869 and a 958 with my rating being 870 boosts my rating to 899. Is that the way it works?
