Howdy folks,
Just checking in to see how everyone is doing in the aftermath of Ike. We got our power back about 10am Sunday. Other than running out of room to pile tree limbs in front of my house everything here is going well. I hope no one is suffering too much out there. See ya all soon I hope. Richard |

We are still hurtin' over where we are at. No power since 9:22pm on Friday before the storm.
White Oak Bayou overflowed it banks somewhere North of W.43rd St and inundated our neighborhood. We had flood waters come with about 6 of our front porch! Thought our place was a "goner" there for a while, but the rains slowed enough that the storms sewers finally caught up and it began receding. All is OK now, but it was a "close" one! No sign of any Center Point crews working in our neighborhood yet. ![]() My work office has been running on generator power for 5 days now! (I'm finally getting to charge my cell phone! ) We had no structure damage though so I'm counting ourselves "lucky!"I will plan on running Thursday night Jester league but be advised that I don't have the results entered into a spreadsheet yet. Hope all of you are making it through okay. |

We're fine here in Sugar Land! Lost power around 11:30 p.m. Friday and had it restored around 9 p.m. Saturday. Lots of leaves in our yard and a fence partially down. Our community (New Territory) lost a lot of trees. I think only mom has been suffering . . . no school until at least Thursday!!

No power, but got my internet card! What a lifesaver it has been.
My house won't have power for sometime, as falling trees pulled a bunch of stuff (breaker box/meter) off the side of the house. Dee and I leave in the morning for Huntsville, we'll be picking up Emily in Shreveport on the way. Hope everyone is safe! |

Lost a line of shingles off the roof leading to decent roof leak, and another leak from a vent in the roof. Some rather minor fence damage that I've already fixed. Only lost two small limbs off my trees, shocked at that.

Considering our house is (not was, thank goodness!) in League City, we got by with very little damage. The fence will need to either be shored up or replaced, but that's about it. We didn't even lose one shingle as far as I can tell. We got power about 6:30 last nite so life is sweet considering. ERic, thanks for the info on First Colony...Chuck & I will be out there Saturday for the mini if anybody shows up. I know most people probably have a lot more important things going on, but if any of you were lucky like me & can get out Saturday morning...let's go throw some discs!!!

The Chain Gang is all okay up north. We have been to our area courses and made assessments as well as organized a work day for this Saturday. If you want a change of scenery, McDade, Shawshank, and Terramont are all playable. Word of advice if you are playing McDade, number one is a bit more tricky. LOL! Glad to see people back on here.

Just got the power back in Humble. I think Kingwood is still out. I am going to try to hit the course this weekend and see how bad it is. The river was up pretty high and I think the course may have gotten flooded.
