Here are some pics I took after the storm, water was a little high. The course was playable the next day after this.

Not that many ever go in, but now is a good time to let those discs lost in the bayou stay that way...

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- An ongoing problem left over by Hurricane Ike is the leaking of raw sewage into the city's bayous. The hurricane caused most of the city's sewage treatment plants to lose power. Most of those are back up and running but for some it's still an issue.

Has anyone played since Ike? How are the conditions? I am thinking of going Friday mid-morning. Anyone else?

Billy and I are going to stop by Mozola Saturday afternoon after playing the Terramount mini Saturday morning. We have some chain link strands to put on some of the baskets.

The course is in great shape, I was out there every day after the storm because I was staying in the lofts acrosss the street (power never goes out on the downtown grid) Finally, the 2nd morning I was able to play because the water went down and there was a nice cold front.

Basket #4 and #6 had been pulled completely out of the ground by the flood, so I dragged them and luckily the hole was still there so they went right back in the ground, just had to kick some dirt in there to keep them from leaning. Also I went back with a shovel to help some of the teeboxes drain the standing water.

Matt, the link stopped working, youre right, Ill try to find what happened to that story. The residents of sabine lofts are on the way to getting the park pulled and I will be the first one out there to bust up some concrete and reclaim old hole #1.

interesting, Is the skater crowd there a problem or is it a parking issue, or the fact that there is no restrooms to use?

Hey I noticed the boxes looked better after the storm....I just want to say thank you Leafy, that was a nice thing to do, thanks

as for the skaters.....don't be hatin man skaters have been the black sheep for decades....I think it's nice to see that they finally are getting some front row attention..... these guys aren't my generation of skaters for sure though..we would never have graffitied up such a nice place in my day....I think it's a generational issue more than a skater issue imho.

I personally have not had a chance to skate and or see the place finished. So you say they have graffittied the park? My brother gave my skateboard to my nephew for some dumb reason. I would rather skate the spine ramp at TC jester or easy seven as it is called. I only skated one pool and that was colorado, but I did alright, but nothing beats a pipe!
