Default June 20th Seabrook Course Mini Tournament

I was wondering who is going to show up and if this is something where you should get there early because there are only 45 spots?

Let me know.

What is the most that have ever showed up for a mini? I remember we had quite a few at Terramont last year.

The last time there was a mini at Miramar there were about 25 guys that showed. I bet there is going to be about the same number.

I was out there Saturday and played 4 rounds. The course is looking great. Got to meet Big Beard for the first time. All the locals I have met out there are great people. Very nice and willing to play with us out of town folks.

If the usuals show up (and I think we might have some newbies!) we might get closer to 30....but again, I would be surprised if it filled to 45! Although that would be cool....and more money in the division pots! Yeah, I miss living within walking distance of this course...but if I still lived there I would have had 5 feet of water in my house after Ike!!! See a bunch of you out there Saturday (unless my wife is having complications from a hernia surgery she's having this Thursday!).

Fun time today even though it was incredibly hot outside!
Congrats to C.J. for whooping up on a bunch of people in Intermediate today and tying for first with Jason!
50 person turnout also!

There were more people at this mini (51) than a few of our PDGA tournaments. My gosh, what is it about this course that people like so much? It is fun to play and you have the suspense of losing a disc on certain holes (1,2,4,5,6,7,8) The results are posted on www.houstonbirdshot.com. I think the previous largest mini was Grand Opening of Imperial Park, we had 27. It took 3 staff people to run this mini Thanks Billy and Tiff for helping with this Monster. I think we should have a sanctioned PDGA tournament out there next year. PDGA allows that as long as you have a minimum of 36 holes. That way you get statistics on the course. It would be interesting to see what the SSA (Scratch Score Average) for Miramar is. C.J. keeps winning our tournaments. I heard his putting was phenonmenal. Tiffany finally beat up on the Rec players. She had had enough.
