Default Kingwood Course

While they say the park is closed, you can park on the road and walk your way in. On the weekends when the construction crew is not working, you can walk to the right of the chainlink fence and work your way over to hole 14. During the weekdays when the crew is working, they ask that you walk to the left and down the road to the soccer fields. The course is in really bad shape right now (naturally) since they can't get equipment back there to do the upkeep. I played out there Monday morning 7-13-09 and someone has stolen the practice basket. They cut the tab off, left the lock and stole the basket. It was there last time I played on 7-8-09. The course is even more challenging right now with the down limbs. I can't remember off the top of my head, but I think #12 has a tree covering 3/4 of the tee box. I pulled out a 69 yesterday considering.

On the construction, they have 10 city trucks on average there each time I go. Always one or two city workers just sitting in the truck, and the progress is extremely slow. Without being rude, my honest opinion, at the pace they are going, they won't have the road fixed for at least another month. Yesterday for the first time there was upper management out there, maybe they will speed things up.
