Brown’s Response: Residents should have access to public property for recreational activities of their choice, within reason. I believe that disc golf is a suitable use. 3. Brown’s Response: No, but I am now. 5. Do you support the use of private donations to improve, expand and install disc golf courses on City of Houston park land? Brown’s Response: Yes. I’m in favor of public-private partnerships that help us provide better services for residents without additional costs. 6. Do you support the use of public funds to improve, expand and install disc golf courses on City of Houston park land? Brown’s Response: No. 7. Are you aware that disc golf is a family friendly sport that offers a high benefit-to-cost ratio both for recreation departments and citizens of all ages and backgrounds and that playing an 18 hole round of disc golf requires walking for approximately 1 and 1/2 hours and burns approximately 700 calories through low-impact aerobic activity? Brown’s Response: No, but I am now. 8. Are you aware that disc golf has grown at the rate of 10% per year for the past 20 years? Brown’s Response: No, but I am now. 9. What can you do to promote the interests of disc golf in the Houston, Texas area? Brown’s Response: I will continue to support the expansion and improvement of our vital green-spaces in Houston through public-private partnerships. And I’ll have an open ear for groups like disc golf advocates who would want to work with the city on these efforts. 10. Why should the disc golf community in Houston, Texas support your election campaign? Brown’s Response: As a successful businessman, I've got the experience Houston needs in its next mayor. I built my own small business into a successful national architecture and urban planning firm. I know how to make businesses thrive and how to get results. I've released my vision for Houston, a detailed Blueprint for an Even Better Houston; a strategy that will attract new jobs, protect our neighborhoods, enrich our communities, and take better care of our resources. For someone who is an urban planner..............why didn't he know anything about disc golf and its low cost to install?
![]() He's only interested in green spaces that look good from that mid-rise condo he just sold you. LOL j/k ![]() Just another slick politician............and he's trying to look like Mayor White IMO, but I don't think he will be as good for Houston as Bill White has been. I built my own small business into a successful national architecture and urban planning firm. I know how to make businesses thrive and how to get results. I've released my vision for Houston, a detailed Blueprint for an Even Better Houston; a strategy that will attract new jobs, protect our neighborhoods, enrich our communities, and take better care of our resources |
