Default visitor in town from Aug 2-11

Hello
I'm coming back to H town. Did my time in school down there but have not spent much time down there in many years. I have played Conroe and Tom Bass. am looking for some good league nights on the better courses and just the must play if I am able to get out for a few rounds. I will be based out of Cypress. Any suggestions would be helpful

Must play courses?
best league ,doubles ,minis?
Kingwood PDGA event. worth it?
Where to get stamped plastic?

Thanks for the info

Chris

Must play Spring Valley, Play Kingwood before the tourney to see if you really want to play this course in a tournament. Good luck. P.S. find someone to lead you around Spring Valley, Shouldn't be hard to get someone to play that knows the course, try Mr. Blue.

Chris,
There is a group of us that are going to play the Kingwood course a few times. (god be with us and protect our ROCs) The Spring Valley course will be hit up on Sundays. The Commando Mini is @ 9 a.m. every Sunday @ Spring Valley. I'm going to worlds on the 9th, so it would have to be before that weekend. If you are interested in either, give me a call. 832-764-9961. If you cannot make it for the Sunday morning round, we usually play a second round out there. Tuesdays we also meet for a mini @ Spring Valley for another Mini @ around 5 p.m. If you are interested, then give me a call and we'll set up the details. We have a very friendly group, and we always welcome more.
Lou, I was out to the Valley the other day and someone said on Finesse 5 that the extra Teebox further down the hole was an attempt at another hole by you and Matt. Where was it supposed to come out at? Just curious. I've often looked at the line and just don't know where it was supposed to end at.

We had nothing to do with the original design, all Andi. Mike told me it was supposed to be a hole but was scrapped. I never saw a line from it either. Matt and I just walked the course with Mike eight or ten times and made suggestions on tree removal and vine removal so there would be legit fairways

Thanks Guys.

I will check out Spring Valley and try to make it there on Sunday or Tuesday while I am out. Mr Blue I'll give when I know my schedule more.

From the tone Kingwood sounds either tuff, unfair or pitch and putt?

Is the course in cypress Oak meadows not playable to the public?

I doubt I will even recognize the place from what friends and family tell me about north Houston.

Thanks again for the response and advice.

Good luck and have fun at Worlds.

Chris

Kingwood is real short with I believe all the holes under 320 but the minefield arrangement of the trees in the fairways make birdies nearly impossible.

I just played Oak Meadows/BrigdeLand tonight with my drummer....makes me want to put my house on the market and move for sure...every hole offers a great and different challenge. The cop came out about halfway through our round, but I was with a resident, otherwise it's patrolled very strictly and private.

peace.

not at all man, I just didn't think it would be good PR to suggest a guy from out of town go out there and get hauled off to the pokey,

Is the subdivision Oak Meadows & is it newer in last 8 years or so? I have to speak with my step brother but I think he lives in Oak something! if not some of the other courses sound good. I guess I need to work on my roler for the spring valley course!
Thanks again for the input and if anybody knows where I can get some stamped plastic (maybe don't mess with texas) I would pick some new discs up down there.

Thanks
Chris
